Civilian First Responder Course is an emergency medical course that is designed to prepare civilians to respond during active-threat incidents. Attendees will be taught to treat and sustain casualties involving major hemorrhages or penetrating injuries to the chest and/or abdomen.
The training is based on TECC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care) guidelines and is presented in the context of an active-threat environment. A significant focus will be on preparation, tactics, and reality based training techniques.
Our goal is to close the knowledge gap between first responders and civilians. In the moments after a crisis, and the time it takes for first responders to arrive are the most important. We recognize civilians can play a large role in helping to save lives before first responders arrive.
